The overarching vision for the Ruahine Street project is to build a primary school with designated character that integrates culture, community and nature. The Kura ā Iwi facility will teach young people from years 0-8 kaupapa Māori/ Te Ao Māori which is education based on Māori worldview. It can include but is not limited to learning about Māori language, traditions, protocols and connection with the earth.
